[ My apologies to the USENET community for the repost -- it appears
the post was lost to some or all of the gatewayed RootsWeb lists
while the LISTS2 server was down at RootsWeb ... ]
Linkpendium has more than doubled in size in the last month and now
has links to 746,769 sources of genealogical information. It is
numerically the largest directory of genealogical resources on the
Internet.
The links are categorized either by:
o Surnames world-wide.
o American locality, generally state and county.
We do not yet provide world-wide locality coverage, though that may be
added at a future time.
The URL is:

We are now in permanent production and expect the URLs of the pages to
remain fairly stable. Please feel free to link to either our homepage
or deeply into the pages that might be relevant to visitors to your
sites.
We are actively searching the Internet for genealogy sites which
should be added to the directory. If you are a Webmaster, List
Administrator, or Board Administrator for a genealogical resource,
please check the appropriate Linkpendium category and use the
Add-A-Link tool if we haven't included your resource yet.
And if you like what we're doing, please tell other folks about us on
the lists and message boards.
