I have read that the Nile Valley farmers of early dynastic times divided
the
people of "the world" into four groups:
Temehu - Libyans (coastal northwest)
Romut - themselves
Aamu - mountain dwellers to the east
Nehesu - people from further south in Africa

I'm sorry I can't tell you the accuracy of this information.
