A Many-Splendoured Thing: Love and *** in Ancient Egypt
Speaker: Deirdre Keleher, Royal Ontario Museum

Love and marriage were im****tant parts of ancient Egyptian society but
little is known today about how the ancient Egyptians dealt with these
im****tant parts of life. On Wednesday June 18th, we take a look behind
closed doors at the most intimate moments of ancient Egyptians.
The second in the Toronto Chapter's new Summer Series of popular
lectures free to members of The SSEA. A $5 fee is requested from non-
members. Light refreshments will be served.

About The Speaker:
Deirdre Keleher is an educator at the Royal Ontario Museum whose
doctoral research focussed on marriage in ancient Egypt. In Egypt she
has excavated at Tell Muqdam in the Delta. She has been a Trustee of
the Society and Administrative Secretary of The Society. She is
currently President of the Toronto Chapter of the SSEA.
