Re: humanoid animals: fish men, amphibians; bird men.

(Humanoid) animals in myth etc seemingly figuratively represent
"Aliens"/Angels. (Angels are called living creatures; Cherubim have 4
faces (Lion, Bull, Man/Angel, Eagle (Scorpio)); Serpent of Genesis/
Eden. Aliens in sci-fi are often animal species like Saurians,
Piscines.) Thus in myths half/part animal & half/part human crosses
may represent mixed divine/angelic & human offspring? (Not to mention
literal mixing of angels and animals (and humans) like ape-men/yeti,
cf GM/GE.) Yet on other hand could also be other way around: human &
animal = masters/chosen & natives/primitives.
Animals were also figurative for: foreigners/gentiles/out/non-/
exoteric/herd, tribes/nations/races/individuals, natural/wild self.
