it was a case of "stone soup" the idea was always for the marines to
invade 
to rescue the 'brigade assualto'
but the CIA left that part out when selling the plan figuring JFK would be

cornered into it.
JFK  did show courage, he had the balls not to start a war, and then he
had 
the balls to go public and accept all the blame,
something no republican would ever have the balls to do.

kennedy was correct in his actions. allan dulles is one of the most 
despicable americans of the post-WWII era.
a little honesty before the attack might have stopped the thing.
and dulles ordering the air assets in panama to stand down made the
failure 
all the worse, he wanted JFK to be embarassed, it didn't workout that way 
and when JFK  accepted all responsibility the public was wowed by a stand
up 
politician. something  the traitor reagan and the fool bush too could have

stood to emulate rather than always blaming underlings.
