How about apology to the American Indians? Also, and this is a sore point,
I 
know, a lot of the slaves trans****ted to America were enslaved by their
own 
people in Africa and sold to slavers. I know this evil does not justify
the 
evil of American slavery, but why don't these (I think) primarily east 
african countries apologise for sending their own people to the coast to
be 
sold to slavers. I for one have no problem with the apology for slavery in

America, but don't see why we should be the only ones apologising. I may
be 
wrong about this but I thought that a significant ****tion of slavers were 
British.

Also, as you point out, where does it end?  What about the puritans who
were 
forced out of England to practice their faith. Thousands died either in
the 
passage over the Pond or once they got here. Aren't they and their 
descendants owed an apology from the Brits???
