I use an angle grinder! When I can't get hoop steel, I have in desperation
used the plastic "stuff" used in Roman blinds.You can get it in huge
lenths.
I join it together with a "cloth" type sticky tape (added strength).
The plastic "stuff" can also be threaded through the material channel
double
(2 pieces) for added strength.
It will retain it's shape as long as it's looked after and the crinolene
is
stored flat. If it is hung for a long period it goes eliptical.
