Re: Scottish Kilt

Hello,

The Kilt has it's origins in the greatkilt or Belted plaid or feileadh
mor ( big wrap)

http://www.reconstructinghistory.com/scottish/beltedplaid.html

From that the feileadh beag ( little wrap) was born due to some
reasons.

The feileadh beag has changed into the kilt as we know it today

If you want books as a source you could try to get this one:

Dunbar, J. Telfer. History of Highland Dress. Philadelphia: Dufour
Editions, 1964.

It's a nice book, but I would get it at a library because at amazon
it's price is 150 dollar orso...

So get it at the library or if you are lucky for a good price at a
bookmarketsale and be very happy.

It's a great book.

If you want more info, just howler.

Greetings dutchcelt aka William MacBran
