I was perusing the toy department at Wal-Mart on Thanksgiving Day. My
wife was off elsewhere in the store for a few minutes. When she
returned, she heard me ask a question that I'm sure she never expected
to hear me utter over the course of our (so far) 23 years of
marriage. I looked at her and asked, "If I'm a really good boy, will
you buy me a Barbie for my birthday?"
I saw, for the first time, the new "Titanic Rose" Barbie, resplendant
in the red evening gown. Packaging indicates that it is in
commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Cameron flick's release.
I already have a choice shelf location in my personal "Titanic Museum)
picked out. Hey, EVERYBODY needs a hobby, as well as a black hole for
their money.
