Re: Lillian Asplund Kept Relics From The Sinking--To Be Auctioned

It's a good story, but largely untrue. The Asplunds were US citizens of
Swedish origins. They came from Worcester, Massachusetts. They had been
living in Sweden tem****arily. This is in US court records because of a
dispute over legal costs. The Swedish consul in New York thought the
Asplunds were Swedish and engaged a lawyer to act for them. Meanwhile,
the
Asplunds engaged their own lawyer. The court awarded costs only to the
Asplund's lawyer.

I'd love to see the ticket. Titanic tickets were large pieces of paper,
about A4 size.
