Hello, Kayla! Welcome to this little corner of insanity.

Though you say you are young, I was struck by the maturity of your
thoughts in the passage above. Many people who have an interest in
the Titanic and the disaster never give much consideration to what was
actually going on inside the heads of the people aboard the ****p as it
was sinking.

I would suggest as a starting point realizing that it wasn't until
just a matter of a few minutes before the ****p actually went under
that most people aboard truly understood that the Titanic was doomed.
Keep in mind that as late as 2:17 a.m. she ****p had a bow-down trim of
only 11-12 degrees, nothing at all like the steeply slanting decks we
saw in the Cameron movie. When the end finally came, it essentially
overwhelmed the people on board. Most of them probably thought they
had far more time than they did. Yes, there were instances of panic,
and some passengers and crew had a better understanding of what was
about to happen than most, but by and large, it wasn't until the last
five minutes or so that REALITY of what was about to happen finally
dawned on the majority of the people still aboard. Even the people in
the lifeboats didn't realize that when the end came, it would come so
abruptly.

All the best,

Daniel Allen Butler
