Re: Construction of Titanic class ****ps

I knew an old Irish fellow in my youth, Jack McClintock by name. He
emigrated from Belfast to New York, and I knew him in his last decade or
so.
I once asked him if he had seen the "Titanic" being built at Harland and
Wolff, and his response, though I can't put the correct vocal inflection
on
it in type, was, "Oh, Christ! You couldn't get away from them!"
"Olympic"
and "Titanic" sincerely dwarfed everything in the city, according to old
Jack. All of which lends more brutal force to the impact of the largest,
fanciest, and newest of the duo being scattered as debris across the North

Atlantic floor on her maiden voyage.
