Iwas looking through images on Google image search and came across one of
her as the "Norway", passing the World Trade Center towers. It occurred
to
me, what a classic piece of landmark design these two structures were,
even
though the "France" was far more aesthetically pleasing to my own eye.
Now
at Alang, she is butchered piecemeal to be fed into furnaces as scrap. I
am
not, for even a second, comparing the two losses on any level of equality,
but I am am wondering if her lines, style, paint, hull, and superstructure
were appreciated enough while we had the op****tunity. To the industries
at
Alang, she is only so much scrap.
