In your soggy mass of verbiage, you would seem to
have overlooked one key fact. The government of
the Taliban made it possible for the Al Queda to
train, organize, and carry out their attack on the
U. S. For that reason, the Taliban (or any
Taliban-like government with a different name)
must never be allowed to come back into power.
The U. S. was absolutely correct to hold them
responsible. I applaud the U. S. military
personnel, and the military personnel of the
allies, who are risking their lives to try and make
sure another terror attack will not be carried out
from Afghanistan.
Look at it like this: If one neighbor let a vicious
killer stay in his house, if he know the killer was
going to murder someone living nearby, and he did
nothing to stop that, and such an attack was
carried out with his knowledge and approval,
would not the neighbor who gave aid and comfort
to the killer be regarded by most people as being
as culpable as the actual killer? Such is the
position of the Taliban. I consider tham absolutely
as guilty as the Al Queda, so please spare me
your sob stories. The difference between the
Taliban and the Al Queda is like the difference
between Hitler and Stalin.
