We are beginning a Roman culture group of reenactors in the Central
Texas area. Some will be military or legionary, some will be civilian,
some will be kids. Generally, we are staying around the 1st Cent AD,
and for the most part, ****traying people living in and around the towns
in Britain. We have a start with a local military group, Legio IX, and
some of those family members. Legio IX has been together here for
about four years, so there is some stability already established.
Crafts, trades, and non-military folks encouraged. We intend to become
an outreach group, attending and hosting various public venues, summer
camps for kids, and of course, events in which the public is not
invited without proper clothing...and we're interested in members'
ideas on what kinds of events you'd like to do.
