Going by your description, Trish, there's something similar in San=20
Mateo, a non-urb near San Francisco, where Top of Beardsley's is. The=20
gigs are listed on the Special Events page at the site at Left in the=20
sig.

This month it was the Merry Widow Waltz Ball. The promoter is The=20
Period Events & Entertainment Re-Creation Society http://peers.org/

Unfortunately, their gigs are the same night as the Next Generation=20
Swing Dance Club's monthly dance but we've been to a few of PEERS's=20
dances that your description of Triangle Vintage would fit well.=20
PEERS does an extremely good job of providing a fun-filled and very=20
entertaining evening.

At one, I asked a guy to dance a Viennese Waltz, a dance I avoid as I=20
regard it as one of the killer dances. He did nothing but turn after=20
turn after turn making me quite dizzy. But it was fun.

April 7 is The Red Carpet Ball =931930s Hollywood Academy Award Ball=94=20
and May 5 is Sleeping Beauty's Christening Ball =93A Faery Tale=20
Masquerade Ball=94

We also have a Charles Dickens Christmas Fair type thing that lasts a=20
day or three at the Cow Palace in Daly City, across the street from=20
San Francisco. Although I've not gone (it closes very early), PEERS=20
has some involvement with it.
