I heard an author interview on NPR some years ago and I'm trying to recall
the name of the book he wrote. He had looked into some events in the early
20th century in his home town that no one seemed to want to talk about and
of which no history seemed to have been written. It was a town in a
northern
state, but I don't remember which one. All I remember was that it had to
do with a massive and deadly attack on the black community of a certain
town
or city, in which the city government was complicit in planning the
attack.
I'm not sure, but I think they might even have used airplanes.
Anyway, if someone knows what I am talking about, since I don't, please
help me locate the title and author. Thanks.
