In a recent meeting I heard someone mentioning that when the extinction
of the Dodo was confirmed, that created a great deal of stir because
many people thought that because species were the result of divine
creation they could not become extinct. The person mentioning this
could not remember the source and I was wondering if anyone out there
knows of any published source for this.
