Interest in History of Science and Engineering?

by "Hans" <hans.stokvis@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 15, 2007 at 12:41 PM

Is there really so little interest in history of science and engineering?
This newsgroup is allmost death and I haven't found any other newsgroup or

forum to talk about it. In my university there is also little interest in
the past. In our faculty we have a small group (three people) that
collects
older equiment, manuals and books. We have now a small place in the cellar

of our building. In two years the faculty will move to another building
and
our collection will probably end in the dustbin due to lack of room. In
our
country (the Netherlands) there is no research on history of science other

than the influence on society. How can such things be changed?
