I don't see why it wouldn't continue. Depending on the economic
development of eastern Europe in this TL. Without WWII, Nazi genocide,
and all the other large scale demographic changes in Europe,  and 
including the new State of Israel (which may
or may not occur in this TL) why wouldn't the cultural identiy of
European Jews be maintained, including language?
