Thanks for the invitation but I have no desire at all to get drawn
into that particular racism debate.

I couldn't agree more but must point out that the US authorities acted
swiftly to "round up" and detain some 1,500 of the "usual Japanese
suspects" in the two days after the PH attacks, under the martial law
regulations proclaimed. Perhaps they just got lucky and picked up all
the potential sabateurs, before they could do any harm ?

I'll also point out that there is no record of Japanese paratroopers
"on the ground" on Oahu either. Perhaps some nisei or issei members of
the Hawaiian community might have been more inspired to come to the
aid of their Japanese homeland after they believed that the Japanese
had indeed landed ? I suspect not but we'll never know for sure, now.
